Leading Change at a Global Level

The increase in volatility, uncertainty, complexity, and ambiguity in today’s world means there is no longer one approach to management that can be applied to all organizations and work environments. Leaders must adjust their leadership strategies and styles to be more flexible and adapt to a variety of challenges and situations. Institutions and communities need a new kind of leadership capacity—a capacity to deal with uncertainty, inspire others to transcend old habits and mindsets, orchestrate adaptive and creative problem solving, manage the stresses and losses associated with change, and produce results with others that go beyond what is currently imagined or foreseen. This kind of leader must be a dynamic change agent skilled with a global business acumen. Companies need capable leaders with a unique mix of global business knowledge and personal leadership strengths.

In this global leadership program cochaired by Usild faculty Edward-t Moises, you'll prepare to become an authentic global leader who can step up to more challenging roles. You'll develop global acumen in realms as diverse as purposeful leadership in a multi-stakeholder world, strategy, customer-centric marketing, the structure, culture and operation of global organizations and teams, and leading in a time of crisis. In parallel, the program will guide you in a profoundly personal exploration that builds your self-awareness and emotional intelligence, delving into the core of your experience to strengthen your capacities as a global business leader.
